Webster Hall says it is coming back in 2019. The famed New York City concert venue closed in August 2017 with a final club show helmed by Skrillex and special guest Boys Noize (which became an impromptu Dog Blood set) and then a final show with Action Bronson. The venue has not announced when it would reopen this year.

The venue is undergoing major changes on several fronts. The venue has stood in some form on another since the late 1890s and over the past several decades run independently by the Ballinger family. They sold it to AEG Live who announced it would close for renovations in 2017.
Over the past year and a half, Webster Hall’s Twitter has occasionally posted about shows put on by Bowery Presents, which would indicate that Bowery (which was also recently bought by AEG), will be involved in Webster Hall somehow.
We don’t have more details on when the venue will open or how it will look. When it closed there were hints that some amenities like food, drinks and the bathrooms might get a facelift, but some fans have been worried the venue would change dramatically given how long it is being closed for. We will see when it reopens sometime this year.
UPDATE: In an email to subscribers, Webster Hall says it will open in the spring.
“Happy New Year, we’ve missed you! While we’ve been closed, we have made some venue enhancements and think you will dig them. While updates are still underway, we are pleased to say that Webster Hall will return in Spring 2019.”
