Top 7 Free Diva Presets: A Deep Dive

Sekora’s Sampler

Sekora is one of the biggest melodic and deep house labels in the game. They recently launched a bundle of presets from Diva. While the pack itself is a premium pack, they offer a small and sweet bundle of freebies that are some of the coolest presets I’ve ever heard. Below is a quote from the label’s founder, whose music you can also check out below to get a sense of the vibe and style of these patches. If you dig them, you should look at buying the full pack as it goes to support a great team and a ton of amazing artists.

“I’ve always wanted to own a preset pack that just works, so I decided to make it myself with the help of other Sekora artists. Creating a variety of simple and complex sounds that are essential for any melodic house & techno track. It has become my go-to pack for every production and captures the Sekora sound beautifully.” – UOAK

Hours In Twilight, Organic House Patches

This pack has it for you, whether you want the soft and enchanting sounds commonly used in melodic house or the modulated and washed-out bass lines typically seen in more ambient music production styles.

Packed with almost 40 presets comprised of bass, leads, and pad patches, this bundle of sounds has a little bit of something for everyone. The only ask is that you follow the artist and playlist of the sound’s creators, updated weekly with some of the freshest and best music of the genres these sounds were inspired by!

KVR’s Free Pack

KVR is a fantastic production forum where producers from all over the world share some of their most unique works (many of which including amazing sound banks).

KVR user FRM assembled a long list of sounds modeled after a most commonly used hardware pieces including the Minimoog, Jupiter-8, and the Juno-60.

While his original post in the forums seem to have been removed, you can still access the preset banks through the link below.

DIVA AETERNA GOLD

theThis is another pack that is a full premium pack but also offers a small sampler worth a snag. This pack is all about dystopian textures, atmosphere, and pads, and this pack offers some of the best patches I use in many of my breakdowns in my songs.

How To Use U-He Diva

I won’t sugarcoat it: Diva has a bit of a learning curve if you want to get the most out of the synth.

While many of the sound designers mentioned in the list have spent years learning the synth, you can get a fair amount of utility out of it just by learning its basics.

Bound To Divide did one of the most comprehensive breakdowns of the synth we could have requested. Check out his tutorial below!

Are Diva Presets Royalty Free?

Most of the time, sounds that come in sound banks are completely royalty-free (it would be almost impossible to track and copyright anyway).

So you breathe easy knowing you can freely use all of these sounds and pretty much any Diva synth sample you legally get your hands on with impunity.

How To Install Diva Presets

By now, you probably have a TON of U-He Diva presets that you are excited to use in your next track, and you may be wondering, “How the hell do I install these sounds?!”

While installing presets and sound banks into Diva is pretty easy, it can be frustrating if you don’t know exactly where all the files are.

Our friends over at Audiotent did a fantastic job breaking down all the proper steps you need to take to install any Diva plugin.

So I’ll let Audiotent take it away…
