Chicago house artist Sherm continues to turn heads with his ability to masterfully channel the classic sounds of house music with a modern touch that keeps his sound fresh and timeless. Hot off the sold-out success of Chicago Music Nexus, the event he co-founded with Olivia Mancuso, Sherm is proving to be a driving force in both music and community building.

His latest endeavor is a collaboration with NYC duo Smith & Sorren, buzzing recently off of support from Diplo and Alesso, for their single “Jet Life” – signed to Low Ceiling.
The track opens with the familiar sounds of a flight attendant’s voice—a playful sample instructing passengers to prepare for takeoff, powering down their electronics and other familiar instructions. As the beat drops, Sherm, Smith & Sorren fuse pulsing basslines and hypnotic rhythms, setting the stage for a listening experience that feels both vintage and cutting-edge.
“Absolutely over the moon about this collaboration with my boys Smith & Sorren. It’s been a long time coming and I don’t think this track could have turned out any better. This underground ROLLER plays on the insane travel schedule that musicians go through during tour. I hear the stuartist voiceover in my dreams sometimes, but it’s all worth it because we do it for the music. That’s the “Jet Life” baby. Huge shoutout to one of my all-time favorite labels “LOW CEILING” for believing in this track with us.” – Sherm
