Design
The first thing you will notice about this model compared to the 2 Standard model is the size and weight; it’s heavier and beefier for obvious reasons — more power capacity. The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max is well-built (one might say tank-like) and showcases the sleek and modern design of all the EcoFlow products. It features a robust yet lightweight aluminum alloy shell that protects the battery and gives it a premium look and feel.
The overall dimensions are compact, considering its impressive power capacity, making it highly portable for outdoor activities, camping trips, or emergency power backup situations. The LCD screen on the front provides essential information about battery status, output power, and charging progress, enhancing the user experience.
Battery Capacity and Output
The Delta 2 Max boasts a massive 2048Wh (watt-hours) capacity, among the highest in its category. This significant power reserve allows you to charge a wide range of devices multiple times before recharging. Whether it’s smartphones, speakers, laptops, tablets, cameras, or even power-hungry appliances like mini-fridges or power tools, the Delta 2 Max can handle them all. Visit Ecoflow’s website for breakdowns by device and how many hours you get.
The battery offers various output options to suit different devices and charging needs. It includes six AC outlets, capable of providing a maximum output of 2400W or 3400W with X-Boost engaged, allowing you to power multiple devices simultaneously. Additionally, it features two 100W USB-C ports, four USB-A ports (two standard and two fast charging), two DC ports, and a 12V carport, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices. Including USB-C 100W and multiple USB-A ports allows for fast and efficient charging of smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
What we tried powering: Laptops, speakers, cameras, drones, coffee makers, and a turntable.

Charging Options and Speed
The Delta 2 Max can be recharged through various methods, offering flexibility in different scenarios. It supports three charging modes: AC power input, solar panel charging, and a 12V car charger. The AC power input allows you to recharge the battery from a standard wall outlet, which takes around 1.8 hours to charge fully. The solar panel charging option is handy for outdoor enthusiasts or emergencies where grid power is unavailable. The charging time can vary depending on how much energy you pull from your solar panels. If you are getting intense sun and generating 190W, it will take roughly 6-7 hours to get close to a full charge (times vary). However, it’s important to note that the solar panel is sold separately (more info below). The Delta 2 Max also supports pass-through charging, meaning you can charge it while using its AC outlets to power your devices.
Performance and Efficiency
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max delivers outstanding performance with its advanced battery management system [BMS] and high-quality components. The BMS is more or less smart onboard technology that optimizes charging and discharging efficiency, maximizing the overall battery lifespan.
The Delta 2 Max features an EcoFlow smart algorithm that intelligently adjusts power output according to the connected devices, ensuring efficient power distribution and minimizing wasted energy. This energy-efficient design helps extend the battery’s runtime and contributes to a reduced carbon footprint.

Power Monitoring and Safeguards
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max has several noteworthy features that enhance its usability. It includes an informative mobile app that allows you to monitor battery status, control output settings, and even receive notifications when the battery is fully charged or requires attention.
The device also has built-in surge protection, temperature control, and low voltage protection, safeguarding both the battery and your connected devices.
Summary
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max Portable Battery is an exceptional portable power station offering a high-capacity and versatile power solution for various applications. This tempered glass panel is incredibly strong, being five times tougher than other panels that are twice as thick. It can handle temperatures up to 300°F, making it highly resistant to heat and the elements. The panels also carry an IP68 rating which means the panels will hold up in rainy and dusty conditions. So if you go to Burning Man, you can feel confident that these panels will perform in the dust and heat.

Pros:

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been obsessed with media. It sounds strange, I know. When I was just 9-years-old, I created a newspaper and offered my mother the job of editor, which she happily accepted. Distribution was small but that didn’t deter me—I had the Citizen Kane virus. And then at age 23, I started another publication called BPM CULTURE Magazine (eventually dropping the word "Culture"), which evolved into a media company called Overamerica Media Group. I found myself in the media business because I love sharing information—telling great stories, sharing ideas and most importantly, informing people about great music! Like most ‘creative types,’ I dabbled in just about everything—from DJing, to producing, and even to creating a record label. And my list of other interests (hobbies) goes on and on; I will leave that for my autobiography. After Overamerica, I spent some time on the client side in fashion, then consulting for various start-ups, only to lead me back to where I started—a start-up media company. It all happened over dinner one night, a friend said why don’t you start up another magazine about EDM—Magnetic was born.
